Rainbow Symphony is proud to introduce Sun Bow UV Detection Beads! These magical sun beads change color when exposed to direct sunlight and on cloudy days. You can use these beads to safely show your students how to detect ultraviolet radiation, but they also make fun jewelry kits for young people everywhere.

Product Details

Thread these beads on a pipe cleaner to create a UV detector or string them to create necklaces and bracelets. You can even braid them into hair or use them as accents for clothes! Charge your UV color changing beads indoors with our handheld blacklight.

Tons of Colors

Each order of beads comes with 200 pieces that look pastel or white. Don’t worry! This is exactly how they should look! Only once they’re exposed to UV light will the sun beads change into bright blue, pink, orange, yellow, and purple colors. When they’re removed from the sun, they’ll fade to their original pale colors once again. These beads are hard plastic and have a large hole in the center.

Please keep them away from small children, as they are easily swallowed.

She Loves Them

I bought them for a friend who loves doing all kinds of crafts. She was a work when I delivered them, but her partner said she would pass them along. That is until I pulled them out of the box and they changed color. She was Wow'd and asked if she could have some. The are a hit with adults also.

Beautiful! Educational! Fun! Inexpensive!

I purchased the UV protection beads to make bracelets/necklaces for our grandson and nephews and nieces. I can't wait to see their faces when they change color for the first time.

Brilliant color changes

We use these to illustrate the presence of ultraviolet light in the spectrum as part of a K-5 science camp curriculum. They work spectacularly well, changing from dull white to brilliant colors in seconds when brought out into direct sunlight. Highly recommended for any curriculum looking for a simple hands-on activity involving the invisible portion of the spectrum - or just for a fun craft project. For the price they are exceptional!

So fun!

These beads really do change into a rainbow of color in the sun!! They are white plastic & have nice big holes in the center. I am going to make a string to hang in my car to brighten my day & you made one five year olds birthday! Thank you
