I contacted Rainbow Symphony support because there wasn’t any easy indicator of what size to order for my binoculars. They suggested the 70mm. They only come in packs of 1 so I ordered 2. These fit perfect on my Orion UltraView 10x50 binoculars. Thanks so much!
I used this solar filter at the Annular eclipse in October, and I got amazing pictures! Looking forward to the total eclipse in April! I used it with my trusty Nikon P610. (The attached picture is unedited!)
For the 2017 total solar eclipse I made a filter for my Canon SX60 HS digital camera. As it was a total eclipse, I wanted to obtain a clear black and pure white image of the moment the configuration looks like a diamond ring. I did this by using Baader Solar Mylar sheet film for the filter material. On October 14, 2023 I will be in Albuquerque, NM to witness and capture the Annular Solar Eclipse, where there is always some sunlight still shining as the moon's position does not block out all the suns light. To make a more interesting photograph, I wanted to use a black mylar solar filter this time which would allow the sunlight to have a yellow/orange color rather than pure white on the image. This Solar filter from Rainbow Symphony is just perfect for providing me the colored image I wanted to achieve and a reasonable price. as well.
