I introduce the concept by giving each student a grating to view ionised gas they keep the grating it always causes excitement
I ordered diffraction gratings, one as glasses and the other as a 35mm slide to be sent to my students, to give them something real to use as they learned remotely.
The glasses worked for walking around to find light sources that differ in their spectra and the slides were easily attached to the camera in their phones to allow them to record the spectra. They worked well, as I knew they would, and Rainbow took my order and got them distributed promptly and smoothly.
I'm the laboratory manager at a community college.
